Early Episode - Joy Stanford!

#takenoticepod Weekly Update!

It’s time to launch!

Okay, maybe not fully, but we couldn’t wait to get an episode to your ears a little bit early! Tuesday, October 27 you can hear my conversation with Joy Stanford. Joy is a candidate running for State Representative in Washington’s 26th Legislative District. If elected, she would be the first female Black representative for the district. She has been serving the south sound region communities for decades as a health care and housing advocate, and educator. She was born and raised in San Mateo, California, and is a mother, wife, grandmother, and from a family of veterans.

We hope that you enjoy this episode even after the elections are over, but we wanted to get this out to help encourage voting, early voting and getting involved!

We can’t wait to hear what you think about the very first episode of Take Notice: Amplifying Black Stories! We will be back with more episodes the first Tuesday in December. We’ll release THREE so that you have something to listen to over the holidays.

You can now find us on a BUNCH of podcasting platforms, including Apple Podcasts and Spotify! Just search Take Notice: Amplifying Black Stories to subscribe and follow! Please share with your friends and family!
